Traffic: The Smith Ave Bridge and Hwy 13 have heavy traffic at times, but both have wide shoulders and drivers are generally courteous. Mendota Bridge (Hwy 55) carries a lot of traffic, but a four-foot-high concrete barrier separates the bike path from the highway. The crossing is very safe and scenic, but noisy.
