Mississippi Highlands [pdf]
This route explores the highlands surrounding the Mississippi River from Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis to the Smith Ave Bridge just west of Downtown St. Paul. Scenic views include Historic Fort Snelling, the confluence of the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers, St. Paul Cathedral, Downtown St. Paul and the State Capitol. The route has one significant climb as it moves away from the river into a couple of older, more established neighborhoods of St. Paul, and another climb on the Smith Ave. bridge as it climbs from the downtown bluffs to the higher west side bluffs.

Scandia [pdf]
This lollipop loop passes through a scenic blend of rural and ex-urban landscapes with gently rolling hills, woods, lakes, and a couple of off-beat museums. Highlights include the 600-acre Warner Nature Center and the pleasant little town of Scandia. Along the way, check out the monument to the first log house, the Hay Lake Museum and the Gammelgarden Museum. The “stick” of the lollipop, Olinda Trail, rolls up and down but steadily gains elevation as it goes north. The northern part of the course is flatter and more open than the southern part.
