Lake Geneva and White River Trail[pdf]

IMG_0180Lake Geneva has been a popular destination for tourists from Chicago since the Civil War. The Lake Geneva Loop circles the lake on residential and semi-rural roads passing mansions built during the Victorian era. The White River Trail Loop uses the converted railroad right-of-way and local roads to create a loop that passes farms and wetlands in the White River Valley, then gradually climbs through woods to the flat agricultural plain around Elkhorn. Many stretches traverse the scenic rolling countryside along the slopes of the valley.
