Doug Shidell,
Former bicycle columnist for Silent Sports Magazine (15 years) and Startribune.com (5 years), Doug started Little Transport Press in 1984. He has been writing and publishing articles and books on bicycling since 1971.
Dave Olson
Dave Olson, The unsung hero of bike route research on the Twin Cities Bike Map, Dave is an avid explorer and meticulous note taker. We’re not the only folks who have benefited from Dave’s explorations. He’s been sought out by those in the know for decades.
Ken Thomson
Ken Thomson, route researcher for the Capitol City Bike Map. Ken has been riding the roads around Madison and Dane County for 15 years. He is active in a local cycling club and Executive Director of WISport, a statewide citizen bike racing organization. Ken used maps, atlases, traffic counts and aerial photos to back up thousands of miles of field testing to select and approve routes for the map.
Bruce Thompson
Bruce Thompson, route researcher for the Milwaukee Bike Map. He enjoys exploring the byways and bike trails of Wisconsin, especially when accompanied by his wife Kathleen and daughter Laura. He has served on the Milwaukee school board, started a software company, and owned a Montessori school. He is currently a professor and program director for the MS in Engineering Management at Milwaukee School of Engineering. As a hobby, he operates a website, wibikeroutes.net, that describes long-distance bike routes across Wisconsin.
